Chris Costin, co-founder of the firm, has practiced law in Sonoma County for nearly 30 years. His extensive practice covers a broad range of business matters connected primarily with real estate development, including civil litigation, land use and reorganization. His litigation practice includes construction defect, environmental contamination, real estate finance, purchase disputes and partnership matters. Mr. Costin is well known and well respected in the Northern California legal and business communities. He was recently appointed by California Chief Justice Ronald George to a three-year term on the Civil and Small Claims Advisory Committee of the California Judicial Council – a body which works to improve the administration of justice in the state. A skilled advocate and teacher, Mr. Costin has taught continuing education seminars for both lawyers and real estate brokers. He was a professor at Empire College of Law from 1993 through 1996 and a teaching associate at Boalt Hall School of Law in 1976-77. Mr. Costin began practicing law in Santa Rosa in 1977 and became a partner in the firm Misuraca, Beyers & Costin in January 1980. |
