Beyers | Costin Hires Two Lawyers and Adds Intellectual Property Law To Its Growing List Of Services

SANTA ROSA, CA - Beyers | Costin is pleased to announce that Richard O’Hare, a registered patent attorney, and Suzanne K. Babb, a former Hastings Law Journal Senior Executive Editor, have joined the firm as associates.

“We’re delighted to welcome these two talented attorneys to our firm,” said Senior Shareholder Jim Beyers. “Their impressive real-world experience and legal expertise will help us continue to expand our firm’s ability to serve the increasingly sophisticated needs of the Northern California business community.”

The new associates join Beyers | Costin at the firm’s new offices located at 200 Fourth Street in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square. The firm also maintains offices at 141 North Street in Healdsburg.

Richard O’Hare, a registered patent attorney with 11 years’ experience, is an associate. His practice includes complex business litigation, intellectual property law and insurance matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Senior Associate with the Santa Rosa office of Rivkin Radler. Mr. O’Hare was a research chemist and then an attorney with Chevron Corporation for over a decade – specializing in complex multimillion dollar intellectual property litigation. Mr. O’Hare received his J.D., with Honors, from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry & Micro biology from UC Santa Barbara.

Suzanne Babb joins the firm as a litigation associate. Ms. Babb was previously with the law firm of Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney. Before becoming an attorney, she managed a $40 million project in the Philippines designed to reform that country’s trade and investment law. She has also managed water dispute and agribusiness projects in the Middle East and Asia. Ms. Babb received her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of Law, where she was Senior Executive Editor of the Hastings Law Journal. She has a B.A. in Print Journalism and Spanish from the American University in Washington, D.C.
